What is Median Rank in MHT CET college rankings?

The Median Rank is the rank of the student at the exact middle (50th percentile) of all students admitted to a branch. It eliminates outliers from late-round cancellations and gives a realistic benchmark of competition. If your rank is near or better than the Median Rank, you have a strong chance of admission.

Why are only Open Merit (General Category) cutoffs shown here?

Open merit seats — GOPENS and GOPENH for co-ed colleges, LOPENS and LOPENH for women-only colleges — are filled purely by MHT CET rank without any reservation filter. This makes them the most consistent benchmark for comparing colleges across Maharashtra. Reserved category cutoffs vary by available seats and conversion rounds, which distorts cross-college comparison.

How should I use this table to decide where to apply?

Use the Median Rank as your realistic planning target. If your MHT CET rank is equal to or better (lower number) than the Median Rank of a college, you are in the typical admit range. The Starting Rank shows the strongest student admitted; the Last Rank shows the weakest. The table is sorted by Median Rank by default — colleges at the top are the most competitive.

What is the difference between MHT CET and JEE columns?

Maharashtra engineering colleges accept both MHT CET and JEE scores through the same CAP round process. MHT CET columns show cutoffs for seats filled via MHT CET scores (the primary route for most Maharashtra students). JEE columns show cutoffs for the JEE-allocated seats at those same colleges. JEE columns are hidden by default and can be toggled on.
